The Martyr commemorated today is Hierotheus, Bishop of Athens. The first reading is from the 2nd epistle of St. Paul to the Corinthians Chapter 3; verse 12 through 18. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke Chapter 5; verse 27 through 32.
