The saint commemorated today is the venerable Patapius. The first reading is from the epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews Chapter 12; verse 25 through 26 and Chapter 13; verse 22 through 25. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark Chapter 8; verse 22 through 26.
