The saint commemorated today is the Venerable Chariton the Confessor. The first reading is from the epistle of St. Paul to the Galatians Chapter 1; verse 11 through 19. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke Chapter 6; verse 31 through 36.
