Today commemorates the passing of St. John the Evangelist. The first reading is from the First Letter of St. John Chapter 4; verse 12 through 19. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. John Chapter 19; verse 25 through 27 and Chapter 21; verses 24 and 25.
