Today is the solemn feast of the Encounter of our Lord with Simeon and Anna. The first reading is from the epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews Chapter 7; verse 7 through 17. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke Chapter 2; verse 22 through 40.
