The saints commemorated today are the Venerable Paul of Thebes and John the Tentdweller. The first reading is from the epistle of St. Paul to James Chapter 1; verse 19 through 27. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark Chapter 10; verse 17 through 27.
