The saint commemorated today is Gregory Bishop of Nyssa. The first reading is from the epistle of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6; verse 10 through 17. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew Chapter 4; verse 1 through 11.
