Today commemorates the thirty-three martyrs of Melitene. The first reading is from the 1st epistle of St. Paul to Timothy Chapter 4; verse 4 through 8 and verse 16. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke Chapter 13; verse 31 through 35.
