The martyrs commemorated today are the confessors Gurias, Samonas, and Habib. The first reading is from the epistle of St. Paul to the Galatians Chapter 5; verse 22 to Chapter 6; verse 2. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke Chapter 9; verse 57 through 62.
