The martyr commemorated today is Obadiah. The first reading is from the 2nd epistle of St. Paul to Timothy Chapter 4; verse 9 through 22. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke Chapter 18; verse 15 through 17 and verse 26 through 30.
