The saint commemorated today is the Venerable Gregory the Decapolite. The first reading s from the epistle of St. Paul to Titus Chapter 1; verse 5 to Chapter 2; verse 1. The second reading is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke Chapter 18; verse 31 through 34.
